Taalhammer is built by a small team of people who learn languages themselves.
We build an app around whole sentences rather than isolated words. Our own learning kept pointing there: either you have a sentence on reflex, or you go quiet mid-conversation. How the training actually works is on the method page.
Everything here carries a byline. Follow any name to see what that person has written, in which languages, and when.

Mateusz WiącekMateusz is a lifelong language learner, linguist and software engineer. As a child he stuttered so badly that buying chewing gum in a shop took him several failed attempts; learning to live with the embarrassment of speaking is what later turned into his passion for languages. He speaks Polish, English, German, Italian and Dutch. Currently he is learning Indonesian.

Anna KaczmarczykAnia is a linguist, translator and private tutor. Besides English she speaks Italian and French. Of all the aspects of language, she most enjoys analysing the intricacies of grammar.
