Learning in full sentences

Learning in full sentences is the most effective way to learn a language. It uses your ability to store whole phrases and sentences (so-called “formulaic sentences”) and helps you develop grammatical intuition, just like in your native language. Taalhammer is designed to allow users to acquire not just words, but entire phrases and sentences.

All the collections you subscribe to in our language catalog contain carefully prepared content for this purpose. First, we’ll show you words and phrases, and then sentences that show you how to use those phrases in practice.

In the learning mode, after you give yourself a grade we will also show you additional sentences that further enrich your vocabulary, knowledge of structures and ability to speak on a given topic.
